| Guess Who?- This will become you and your child\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\'s favorite game. The players have to try to figure out which character on the game board the other player has picked. The players ask each other yes or no questions in order to eliminate characters and narrow the search to just one person. It encourages the child to look at the face features of each character on the board. Does he have glasses? Does he have red hair? This game is a great way to introduce the concept of attending to details through the different face features. Some children have difficulty distinguishing when people are mad, annoyed, sad, etc. Alot of time may be spent discussing emotions and how to tell what mood someone is in. The tone of their voice changes, their face changes subtly, they place their hands differently, etc. Some children do not pick up on these subtlties of emotion; but, if discussed and pointed out, they learn. This game may serve as a starting point for these discussions.
